We Offer a one-year immersive interventional nephrology fellowship training in hemodialysis vascular access maintenance. At the end of training, candidates would be competent to practice independently and would have met all the requirements for certification by the American Society for Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology Training (ASDIN) for Hemodialysis Vascular Access (HVA) with advanced training in stents, embolization and banding. There are no specific start dates. Each applicant, when accepted can arrange a start date that is mutually acceptable.
Eligibility Criteria
- Board certification in internal medicine plus
- Board eligibility or certification in nephrology
- Commitment to research and submitting at least an abstract to the ASDIN Annual meeting or VEITH Symposium
- Board certification in nephrology is a requirement for ASDIN certification
We accommodate practicing nephrologist who can still maintain their practices and work out a schedule to meet the training requirements. In these arrangements we expect an employer letter of support for training. Additional requirements for malpractice may apply.
